Lawrence Scott Cohen has over thirty five years of professional experience in Public Policy, Regulatory & Legislative Advocacy, and Business Development. He has represented industry associations, private business interests, as well as Fortune 100 Companies in a variety of sectors including Public Utilities, Post-Secondary Education and Medical Cannabis.
Scott has worked closely with Federal and State Legislators, Attorneys General, and Regulators nationwide. Additionally, he has lobbied the Federal Communications Commission and foreign Governments. Scott has drafted legislation that has been adopted in numerous states. He has been an invited speaker at national seminars and has published in several trade and peer journals. Scott was an invited speaker on Medical Cannabis legislative issues before various groups, including the Ohio Women's Bar Association and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law's Drug Enforcement and Policy Center.
Scott holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Management from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Assumption College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Scott also completed executive education at The Brookings Institution on Inside Congress-Advanced Strategies and Inside Washington – Business and Public Policy. Scott was an inaugural Board member for the Natural Therapies Education Foundation (NTEF) and has been a committee member of The Ohio State University's John Glenn College of Public Affairs Alumni Board.
Carol Cohen has over thirty years of professional experience in Public Education Advocacy, (Ohio) State Education compliance, and Business Creation & Development. She has worked in the Medical Cannabis field, receiving licensure from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy for both the dispensary environment and processing facilities. Carol has also worked in various areas of Early Childhood Education.
Carol specializes on state compliance issues, operating policies, staff training, and patient interaction training for the Medical Cannabis field. Carol has consulted on business and management strategies within the alternative healthcare arena. In the Early Childhood Education field, she has held teaching and administrative roles in public and private schools, represented educational companies at state and national conferences, and has presented at the OAEYC conference. Carol is a Step Up to Quality © workshop creator and approved presenter. She has written training manuals for manufacturers of early childhood learning products. Carol has worked as an Educational and Parent Coach and has also founded and run a private preschool.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University. Carol has completed executive training in Conscious Discipline ©. She has also completed executive training in the Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Approach ©.
